Compassion Fatigue Survey

If you are a wildlife rehabilitator, I encourage you to fill out the following survey. Not only does it aid in my ongoing research, it gives the rest of the rehab community a better idea of what caring for wildlife can do to our mental health. If you would like to read about my original results, click the link to be taken to the article.

Want to score your results?

Here’s the breakdown: Strongly disagree = 1, Disagree = 2, Neutral = 3, Agree = 4, Very Often = 5

I recommend grabbing an extra writing tool to make it simpler. Convert your scores numerically, making the proper inversions listed below, and calculate them according to each section of the survey.

For questions 1, 4, 15, 17, & 29, you will reverse your score (these are all in the Burnout section). Here’s what that looks like:

1 —> 5

2 —> 4

3 —> 3

4 —> 2

5 —> 1
